You no longer have to visit one of our branches to deposit your check. The Peoples Bank is working for you and offering Mobile Deposit Capture which allows you to deposit your check wherever you are! Just another way The Peoples Bank is bringing banking convenience to you.

  • Download The Peoples Bank App (thepeoplesbank-ky) from your app provider
  • Log into the app using your log in credentials
  • Choose the “options” button in the lower left hand side of the screen
  • Choose “Deposit Checks”
  • Endorse your check and include “For Mobile Deposit Only at The Peoples Bank” under your signature
  • Take a photo of the front and back of your check according to instructions provided within the app
  • Enter the amount of the check
  • Choose the account for deposit from the drop down box
  • Review the deposit
  • If the check image is unclear or any revisions need to be made, make them before submission of the deposit. You will receive a “Warning” message after selecting review if the app automatically detects any defects in the deposit. Please make any adjustments and review again before submission.
  • Once the deposit is determined correct and of good quality, submit the deposit.
  • Please access the “History” tab of the Deposits screen to review any previous deposits.
  • A $1.00 fee will be assessed per electronic deposit made via the Mobile App.
  • Once the deposit has been received and is processed, you will receive a receipt of deposit via your email listed within the app. Please be sure your email address is up to date and make revisions as needed.
  • If the deposit contains an “Exception” item and cannot be processed, you will receive an email stating so. You can resubmit the item or bring the physical item to the Bank for deposit. Please be aware that some items may not process. It is your responsibility to review the Deposits screen of your app to determine if the deposit has processed.
